Aidar Khakimzhanov graduated from the biology faculty of C.M. Kirov Kazakh State University in 1979. He defended his Ph.D. thesis: “Amylolytic enzymes of rice grain and their regulation.” Specialist in plant biochemistry, grain enzymology (carbohydrate metabolism enzymes and their inhibitors) in 1990. Fundamental and applied studies of biochemical properties, regulation and functioning of polysaccharide hydrolysis enzymes and their inhibitors in grain crops in normal conditions and under the influence of negative abiotic (high humidity, low temperature) and biotic (fungal phytopathogens) environmental factors led by Aidar Khakimzhanov are priority theme worldwide. The results of the research were published in the rating journals included in the Scopus database – “Plant Physiology”, “Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology”, “Asian Journal of Agriculture and Biology”, as well as the journals KOKSON – “Plant Physiology and Genetics”, “Reports of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “Izvestia of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. Scientific results of Aidar Khakimzhanov presented in the proceedings of 10 international conferences on plant biochemistry and physiology, including FEBS, FESPB, Precharvest Sprouting in Cereals. He has more than 100 publications, five copyright certificates and patents. Under his supervision two Ph.D. dissertations and five master’s theses were prepared and successfully defended. He was awarded the “Certificate of Honor” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for high achievements in the field of fundamental and applied research in biochemistry and enzymology of grain crops, training of scientific personnel and many years of work at the institute in 2016. He was awarded the honorary badge “Enbek ardageri” in 2021.
Kuzovlev Vladimir Anatolyevich

Vladimir Kuzovlev graduated from C.M. Kirov Kazakh State University with a specialization in biology. He completed an internship at Jacob Blaustein Institute for Desert Research in Israel (1999-2000). He is a specialist in plant biochemistry and grain enzymology, has more than 50 publications, 6 copyright certificates and patents. He was awarded the Gratitude of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2017. He has 33 years of scientific work experience.
Abaildayev Asset Orazalyuly

Asset Abaildayev graduated from biology faculty of al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 2010. He is a specialist in the field of plant biochemistry. From 2011 to 2012 he studied at the magistracy of biotechnology specialty at al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2012, he attended the full course of the Institute for Advanced Studies of Teachers of Higher Educational Institutions of al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a specialization in Bionanotechnology. Since 2019 he is a Chairman of Young Scientists Board of M. Aitkhozhin Institute of molecular biology and biotechnology. He published 32 scientific papers in co-authorship and has 12 years of work experience in science.
