On September 13, 2023, a seminar on using the Anti-plagiarism system was held at the M. Aitkhozhin Institute of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. The seminar was conducted by the regional representative of “Anti-plagiarism Kazakhstan” LLP – Erlan Meirambaev.
The “Anti-Plagiarism Kazakhstan” system is one of the largest in the Eurasian space and has more than 1.5 billion works in its database. Every year the system is replenished with 34 million new works, and the monthly number of users is 1.5 million people. To date, in Kazakhstan, the “Anti-plagiarism.Kazakhstan” system covers 112 organizations, including 67 universities.
Representatives from all laboratories of the Institute took part in the seminar. They demonstrated methods for processing texts and searching for plagiarism by the system, and gave interesting examples. They spoke in sufficient detail about the capabilities and advantages of the program.
At the end of the seminar, listeners asked questions, touching on problem areas, and made their suggestions. The “Antiplagiat Kazakhstan” company will provide IMBB scientists with access to its system in test mode for feedback in order to improve the quality of the services offered and eliminate program shortcomings.
