40th anniversary of the founding of M.A. Aitkhozhin institute of molecular biology and biochemistry

Dear Colleagues!

I cordially congratulate our wonderful team on the 40th anniversary of the founding of M.A. Aitkhozhin institute of molecular biology and biochemistry.

The Institute was established in accordance with the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR No. 83 dated February 22, 1983. The founder and first director of the Institute was an outstanding scientist, academician of the KazSSR Murat Abenovich Aitkhozhin.

Talented scientists who stood at the origins of the formation of molecular biology in Kazakhstan worked within the walls of the Institute. Discoveries and research were carried out here, which gave impetus to the development of new directions in science, a solid foundation was laid for a strong scientific center in the country.

Today, IMBB continues to conduct fundamental and applied research in the field of molecular and cellular biology, biotechnology, genetic engineering, immunology, ethno- and personalized genomics.

On this day, I would like to address some words of gratitude to our veterans who have made an invaluable contribution to the formation and development of the Institute. Some of you continue to work, passing on your knowledge and skills to young scientists.

I am confident that our Institute will overcome all difficulties, preserve the established traditions and achieve new successes!

I wish all employees and veterans of M.A. Aitkhozhin institute of molecular biology and biochemistry good health, realization of creative plans, well-being and prosperity!
