MEETING OF THE SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL OF M. AITKHOZHIN INSTITUTE OF MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY

On April 11, 2024 a meeting of the Academic Council was held at M. Aitkhozhin Institute of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry.

In his opening remarks, IMBB General Director, Professor K.O. Sharipov congratulated the members of the Academic Council on the Day of Science Workers, noting that this year the scientific community of Kazakhstan is celebrating the 125- th anniversary of K.I. Satpayev. In this regard, he cited some facts from the biography of K. Satpayev, noted his contribution to the formation and development of not only Kazakh science, but also the country’s economy. So he cited the following words of K.I. Satpayev “…Only science that is organically connected with production, helping production and directing it to high technological levels, which at the same time itself receives charge and direction from production, is truly advanced science”.

At the meeting of the Academic Council, the Ph.D students of the 1-st year were heard, who presented information about the topics of dissertations, their relevance, goals and objectives, work plans, as well as preliminary results obtained.

IMBB Deputy Director G.A. Ismagulova reported on preparations for honoring veterans of the Institute, dedicated to the Day of Science Workers, and the 125-th anniversary of K.I. Satpayev.
