Natalya Malakhova graduated from the biology faculty of al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 1995. She is a specialist in the field of molecular biology and plant genetic engineering, biotechnologist. She successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis: “Comparative analysis of the expression of some defense response genes and structural characteristics of the cloned wheat chitinase gene and its expression product” in 2010.

She was awarded with the Personal Grant of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for young scientists, within the framework of which she was trained in biotechnology and molecular biology at the University in Hamburg, Germany. As part of an individual grant from MCBN-UNESCO for young scientists, she completed a scientific internship in biotechnology and molecular biology at Universität Hamburg (Germany) and training in plant protection at the MASHAV International Cooperation Center (Tel Aviv, Israel). She completed advanced training courses in general and functional genomics and genomic research in systems biology at VI International School for Young Scientists in Molecular Genetics “Genomics and Systems Biology” (Moscow, Russia).

She is an Associate Professor of Satbayev University, supervisor for PhD-doctoral, undergraduates and graduate students; author of syllabuses, lectures, practical courses and tests for exams in biotechnology. She was a scientific supervisor of nine grants and has more than 60 publications.

Tezekbayeva Botakoz Kulbaevna

Botakoz Tezekbayeva graduated from Kazakh National Agrarian University with a specialization in breeding biotechnology (2006). In 2014 she earned her Master’s degree in agronomy. She completed an internship at the Forest Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2020.

Altyn Khassein graduated from Kazakh State Women’s Pedagogical University with a specialization in chemistry and biology (2006). She earned her Master’s degree in biology in 2010. She completed an internship at the Laboratory of Genetics and Biotechnology of the Forest Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2012.
