The main national holiday in Kazakhstan – Constitution Day is celebrated annually on August 30.

The current Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted through a national referendum on August 30, 1995 (with subsequent amendments and additions). The Basic Law is the key to the stability of our society. Its provisions make it possible to maintain the stability of internal processes and successfully develop in the international arena. All related documents, such as laws and other acts of government bodies, are issued on the basis and in accordance with the Constitution.

According to the Constitution, Kazakhstan is a democratic, secular, legal and social state, the highest values of which are the person, his life, rights and freedom.
