The meeting of the IMBB Academic Council was held on June 22.

The meeting discussed and approved the Strategic Plan for the Development of the IMBB for 2022-2026 years. The report was made by the Deputy General Director of IMBB, Ph.D. Ismagulova G.A.

The IMBB strategic plan was developed in accordance with the National Development Plan of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2025, the State Program for the Development of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2025, the Concept for the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026, the Concept for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021- 2030 years.

The members of the Academic Council got acquainted with the results for the first half of 2022 on the NTP OR11465447-OT-21 “Development of highly sensitive molecular biological, biochemical tests for the detection of pathogens that affect the consumer qualities of the final product, based on the monitoring of pathogens of agricultural crops” (supervisor – Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Iskakov B.K.).

Leading Researcher of the Laboratory of Molecular Immunology and Immunobiotechnology Ostapchuk E. reported the interim results of the research work “Studying the effect of Sars-Cov-2 coronavirus antigens on the pro-inflammatory activity of neutrophils, macrophages and T-regulatory cells”, carried out as part of grant funding for 2021- 2023 years.
