HONORING VETERANS OF SCIENCE OF М.А.AITKHOZHIN INSTITUTE OF MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY
As part of the Kazakhstan’s science week, on April 28, 2023, honoring of veterans of science, as well as the celebration of the Nauryz Meiramy, took place at M.A.Aitkhozhin Institute of molecular biology and biochemistry.
Honoring veterans began with words of gratitude from the General Director of the Institute, professor Kamalidin Sharipov for his contribution to the development of science and education in the country, as well as for the transfer of experience and knowledge to the younger generation.
It was also noted in the congratulatory message that in pursuance of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K.Tokayev, positive trends are taking place in science: a national program for the development of science has been adopted, amendments have been made to the Law of the RK “On Science”. Funding for science is increasing from year to year. Salaries of leading scientists are included in the basic funding. Allocated funding for updating the material and technical base of research institutes. There is a program of internships for researchers within the framework of the Bolashak program, according to which 500 scientists annually can improve their skills in the world’s leading scientific centers, etc.
The guest of honor of the event Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the RK, General Director of the Institute of mathematics and mathematical modeling Mahmud Sadybekov wished the veterans of science good health and long life, and the employees of the Institute success in scientific research, establishing cooperation with other scientists and scientific organizations, as well as attracting new talented and promising researchers to their ranks.
Veterans of the Institute Ramziya Azimuratova, Karlygash Toybaeva wished the IMBB team creative success, competitive results and the continuation of the glorious traditions of the institute. In memory of this meeting, veterans, guests and employees of the Institute planted trees on the territory of IMBB.
Honoring veterans of science is an important event that provides an opportunity to recognize their achievements and significant contribution to the development of the scientific field in the country, as well as to preserve and transfer valuable knowledge and experience from one generation of scientists to another within the framework of continuity.
